Key Metal Refining Appears on American Metal Market

It explained that one of the goals for the new business is to expand operations at it’s Hainesport NJ plant in order for DOWA to have more material to further refine and smelt at its plant, in Japan.  DOWA boasts that it’s NIPPON PGM facility is the world’s largest Platinum Group Metal recycling plant.

Company President John D. Bruno stated “We have the capability to be a significant player in the industry for two reasons. The first is our combined knowledge…Secondly, in today’s competitive environment, where margins are tight, DOWA’s financial backing affords more marketing, buying, and expansion opportunities here in the United States.”

KMR’s controlling partner is DOWA Metals and Mining Co. America, a wholly owned subsidiary of DOWA Holdings Co, Ltd. KMR de-cans catalytic converters at its plant in Hainesport New Jersey. The material is further refined and smelted by DOWA in Japan.
